Maintenance
On Saturday, 13 December, 2025, there is a planned outage that will take place. During this time, the Moodle site will be placed into maintenance mode and web services brought offline to preserve the integrity of the data in preparation for a server migration.
When: Saturday, 13 December, 2025
Length: 24-48 hours
Purpose: Migrate Moodle from one hosting provider to another.
The planned length of time for migration is 24 hours.
Future Projects
Valiant ID
In late December/early January, you will be notified via email that a new account login process will be available. Moodle passwords will be disabled and you will use a new Valiant ID account to access Moodle. Your Valiant ID will be your single account that will be used for Moodle and any future services going forward. More information will be provided when it is time to transition. The purpose of this change is to provide better account and platform security going forward.
Virtual Help Desk
With your Valiant ID account, you will have access to a Virtual Help Desk for all IT-related issues. This is a ticketing system that will allow for better tracking of issues, should they arise.
Student Portal
Last, but certainly not least, a student portal will be brought online to help you better manage/view your course and program progress, get access to unofficial and official transcripts, and much more. The student portal is currently under construction, but is anticipated to launch, in its entirety, in Spring 2026. Some features may be available earlier and an announcement will be made when/if there is early availability.
